Our Leadership

Our leadership consists of people selected by our congregation.

Guiding and working closely with our staff team, they guide Hope Springs’ life and work.

Official Board

This group governs our congregation. It often operates as 2 teams with distinct responsibilities: the Mission Committee and the Stewardship Committee. The Secretary of the Board is Wendy Cartwright.

    Mission Committee

    The Mission Committee gives leadership in the care and oversight of the spiritual life and the interests of the congregation, stewarding this responsibility on the congregation’s behalf. Most importantly, it provides spiritual leadership to Hope Springs UC so that the congregation may live out its mission as a community of Jesus Christ.

    Stewardship Committee

    The Stewardship Committee gives leadership in the day-to-day use and care of Hope Springs UC’s financial and property resources. It works in concert with the Mission Committee, ensuring that these valuable resources are used to support the mission of the congregation. It also works with the Trustees, which has authority over the investments and protection of the congregation’s property.

    Ministry & Personnel

    The Ministry & Personnel Committee tends to relationships between the congregation and its staff members. Responsibilities include: oversight of staff work, position descriptions, staff evaluations, remuneration, conflict management, and making hiring recommendations.

    Board of Trustees

    The Board of Trustees is responsible for managing funds and ensuring that the congregation is properly insured. Additionally, the Trustees handle investments on behalf of the congregation.
