Minister (full time)
Position profile
This is a full-time ministry, 40 hrs per week position with a special focus on families, children & youth in our congregation and community. We invite your insight and collaboration but are currently envisioning this position to lead worship two to three Sundays a month in the sanctuary and guide children’s programming on the remaining Sundays.
Position summary
We are a newly gathered (November 2022) family of faith made up of three amalgamated congregations and we're on a journey to discover who we are and what our purpose, mission and goals are. In 2023, we were blessed to work with Credence & Co to shape a vision for our future, outlining our collective faith and community aspirations. A key aspect of our vision is a focus on serving families and offering a sense of community in a time of uncertainty and loneliness. In this position, you’ll help us explore how we can best serve families and build intergenerational relationships within our congregation and, just as importantly, the wider community. A critical focus of this role is helping us understand and define how we can best meet the goals set out in our visioning report.
Who you’ll be working with
In this role, you’ll join a dynamic team that includes an Office Administrator, Treasurer/Bookeeper, Music Leader, Communications/Volunteer coordinator (presently hiring for) and volunteer lay leaders. Lay leadership gifts are shared on the Worship Team, Pastoral Care Team, Tech Team, Mission Committee, Stewardship Committee, Ministry and Personnel Committee and Trustees. We are currently discerning and exploring further staffing needs based on our visioning report.
